It Can't Be Comfortable

... but this is Lindy Loo's favorite sleeping position.

I would say it's an anomaly, but it's her Uncle Fat Charlie's very favorite position, too.
Happy napping!

  1. Whippets, I've found, have their own set of unique life rules. Ans sleeping in odd positions is one of them!

  2. ohmy. I think it does not look comfortable. I sleep on my back, with all four paws in the air, preferably in a direct breeze. Is it always this warm here?

  5. Ouch!

That's a weird position, for sure!
But then every dog has a unique personality...did you say that her fat uncle Charlie too sleeps like that? Then it is genetics!

  7. Comfort is, as comfort does. There is no reason at times for the things we do, dog or hooman.

  10. My grandmother had an expression that she used when people would try and move the sleeping child that looked oh so uncomfortable. She would say, "Leave 'em lay where Jesus flang 'em."
    I think this applies....

  12. Hey. We've got to keep ourselves flexible somehow, right? Humans just don't realize that you can fit in a work-out while you're sleeping. So here's to our health...

  13. Oh... won't she wake up with a stiff neck? Jie jie will wake me up and remind me to sleep properly if I ever sleep in odd position cos I have slipped discs over on my neck too.

  15. Willie lays with his head up on the sofa arm or hangs it off the cushion. I call it his "I am in despair. When is she ever going to walk me again?" positions.

  19. Wow that's funny! Booker usually curls up into a tiny little cat-ball with his feet and tail and nose all tucked in ... we call him "cat-dog" ...

  20. Nike sleeps like that too. Tara does the whippet thing where she sits with her front paws bent under at the wrists - never had one that did that before.

  22. My part-sighthound sissy sleeps like a contortionist, too. My ma ape just marvels how I can sleep anywhere, anytime, on piles of books, in the dirty laundry, on shoes. You name it, I can catch some Zs.
