Those of you who are Facebook friends or Twitter followers may have noticed that I cleaned the house yesterday. I am not a good Hannah Housewife. I figure I'm married to a man, not a house!
The dogs know something is up when the scrub brush and mops come out. Either we're getting company, or I'm going away. They watch. They all stick a little closer, and listen more carefully to street noises. Will I get out the suitcases?
So, they were on their tippy toes when Susan and Jeanette came through the gate. Susan and Jeanette are good friends. They lived with us for a brief time a couple of years ago, when they were between 'here and there'.
Susan wondered if the dogs would remember them.
Do you think?

Hug your hounds
Dogs don't forget people who love them, even if the people leave and then come back much later.

One of the best treats in visiting friends is a chance to gomm onto their hounds. Satisfies that longing--almost--for a couple of other dogs in the family.
ReplyDeleteChuckled at the laundry avalanche--it was their bedding after all and meant to be spread out, not squared away.
What lucky lucky hoomans to be looked on wif such love and adowation

I always know something is up when Old Girl says we are going to get the house "nice and clean." That is my cue to hide from the vacuum.
ReplyDeleteWe never forget the hoomans who love us most! Never!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Dogs never forget people who are kind to them, just like they never forget people who hurt them or are unkind. Its clear these are good, well-remembered friends!

It looks as if everyone is having a good time clean house or not.
ReplyDeleteMy dogs start looking out of the window for visitors when I clean up too! LOL.
ReplyDeleteDogs we have known & loved never forget us - I unexpectedly paid a visit to an IG that hadn't seen me for several years (& certainly not with its new owner) & he remembered me as soon as he saw me, climbing up for a fuss & ignoring his breeder, who had taken me on the visit. I was really touched that I meant so much to him! He used to walk with my dogs nearly every day & have play fights with our oldest, Rolo. When I returned home my dogs were all over me, sniffing to see who I had been visiting.
When will they learn? We never forget. Especially the good peoples. And where they hide the snacks. Enjoy your company!

ps. I get anxious when my ma ape cleans. That gives you an indication of how rare it is--I don't recognize it!
I would guess "YES!" they were remembered.
ReplyDeleteBut that would just be a wild guess.
Mom and Dad never go anywhere so if they are cleaning someone is coming! I am glad the Waggle got some nice guests that they CLEARLY remembered!!
