The difference between dogs and humans, part 2

Time means nothing to a dog.

To us, it's everything. We measure our lives in years, our existence in weeks, days, minutes. We make split-second decisions, and get paid by the hour.

Dogs measure their lives in love, their existence in companionship, fun, purpose, and treats. They live to welcome us home, to sleep by our side, to chase a fly, and for bacon.

We have so much to learn.

  1. That is so true. Except for Teka. A law unto herself. Actually, I think she has dominant cat genes.

I agree with Sue (above), mine tell me when it is 1.00.p.m. & 9.00.p.m., their meal times. Even when the clocks change they know the new times. A regular holiday visitor used to know the difference in his normal meal times & ours & would fit right in & come & tell me what the time was! LOL
